Transformer disassembly and reassembly with mobile oil processing and vacuum filling, SF6 handling capabilities, and commissioning substation equipment and protection schemes are included in our extensive list of experience.

Director of Electrical Testing & Maintenance (ETM)
Since joining Groves Electrical Services in 2010, Kris Rickard has played a key role in building and leading the Electrical Testing & Maintenance (ETM) department. As Director, he oversees daily operations while working closely with the safety team to promote a strong operational safety culture. With over a decade of prior experience as a cable maintenance technician and electrical motor rebuilding and testing, Kris brings deep technical knowledge and a steady leadership approach. He takes pride in the growth of the department and the skilled technicians who continue to thrive under his guidance. A native of Nortonville, KY, Kris enjoys camping with his wife and granddaughter, hunting, and playing guitar—something he once did regularly while performing in a band.
