Through the hard work and dedication by every employee here at Groves Electrical Services we have created a Health and Safety culture which is at the forefront of the industry. This model emphasizes not only preventing incidents but also building resilience by preparing for the possibility of failure. While our priority is prevention, we acknowledge that mistakes can happen when humans are involved. The key is ensuring we have the capacity to absorb failure without harm.
The Capacity Model™ shifts our mindset: Safety is not the absence of incidents, but the presence of Capacity.
To build this capacity, our team and front-line leaders actively identify and address “STKY” (Stuff That Kills You) on job sites daily.
Each Day We Ask:
What is STKY on the job site?
If a STKY event occurs, what will protect you and the crew?
Is that protection sufficient, or do we need more?
Recognizing hazards with the Energy wheel.
By recognizing potential hazards and applying the Energy Wheel to assess sources of energy, we determine the controls needed to safely manage any failures that may occur.
