Our transmission powerline crews are experienced in powerline construction and maintenance with voltage classes from 46 kV to 345 kV. Groves’ crews perform work on energized lines up to 161 kV. By combining our engineering and field services, Groves can self-perform EPC powerline projects.

VP of Operations – Transmission

With a career spanning more than two decades at Groves Electrical Services, Mike brings deep-rooted experience and a passion for transmission line work to his role as Vice President of Operations for Transmission powerline. After originally joining Groves in 1992, he returned in 2016 to help drive the department’s growth and success. His leadership centers on safety, operational excellence, and customer trust.

Mike blends honesty, empathy, and personal accountability in his approach. He fosters a tight-knit, family-like culture where team members feel supported and valued — both on the job and beyond. Originally from Hanson, KY, he still considers himself a lineman at heart and enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and playing golf when he’s not working.
